Large format bible, Holy Gospel written in the Greek language. The book is bound in a handmade solid silver cover after which partially gilded, this gives a beautiful contrast. The edges are not of solid silver but silver-plated (so the front and back are of silver) This has been tested by a renowned appraiser. Both the front and the back have various very detailed biblical scenes in relief. The spine has a decoration in relief. The whole is in a very nice undamaged condition with normal traces of use due to age and use. The gilding is here and there somewhat evenly worn and some pages show spots (candle wax). Also on the silver some red, green and white candle wax. You can of course remove this if desired. Consciously not removed because the book has a history. See the photos for this.
